December is here? How did that happen? I know Cameron has a birthday around the corner. Forget Christmas. Who has time? Got a package from the Joneses. This year I haven't even finished my annual sewing projects. Everyone may be getting Jamba Juice certificates. Can I buy those on line? No letter, no picture, no tree, nada. Between finals, the work on the house, getting Skyler ready and getting ourselves ready for Venezuela, can we consider rescheduling the holiday for maybe July? :)
I'll be glad when we get our new windows. It's cold outside.
Anyone else out there?

I'm Green with Shades of Blue, what are you?
A friend of mine is a high school teacher in Wyoming. With every new class she has her kids determine what their learning style is and what they contribute to team work. I'm pretty amazed by how accurately this described me. It only takes a few minutes. What color are you? (According to Judy, you are usually one color predominately, but often have another "accent" color.)

Halloween
Nick, awesome (ha ha) news about your moons. Can we see them?
Ellie, I hate to upstage you but on Saturday, while Martin and I were with my friend Lynda and her brother at Disneyland, Paul McCartney waved and winked at me. Yep, I am not kidding. I had witnesses. Well, he waved and winked at Lynda, too. But still, it was in fact a personal wave and wink and we were not 10 feet away from him as he waited for his wife Heather to pick up their little girl out of the stroller. Lynda and I were standing there with our mouths open and in a state of shock at just seeing him. I'm sure that our charming costumes had something to do with why he took notice. We were both wearing red Minnie Mouse hats, each with a yellow flower growing out of the top. . . .
(It was Disneyland for Pete's sake. You're expected to dress like that there. LOL!)

Ellie, this is awesome! What an exciting event for you. I hope you got some pictures.
I don't know why my comment didn't show up so I'm just posting this here.

No luck
I've sent out several invitations to join but not a single response. I've tried to explain it but I'm getting nowhere. I think this idea will bomb. Maybe someone can make a telephone call or two?

I'm here!!
Thanks Debi for organizing & creating this blog. I hope everyone will join & contribute regularly. It will take a little effort to get in the habit, but it will be really fun.
Today I go with Skyler to the Newport Beach temple for its open house. There will be tons of people there, and there are no more tickets available. Undoubtedly there will be some anti-Mormon people there, so it will be interesting to see what they will be saying or doing.
Two movie stars rented a motor hoem from us yesterday.... Richard Roundtree (the original "Shaft"), and John Ratzenberger (Cliff, the know-it-all mailman, from Cheers). Both very nice men.
Love you all,
Martin

It was Martin's Idea
Welcome! Martin thought everyone might enjoy using an extended family blog. We Onkens have one just for us and it can be a fun way to keep in touch. I've sent invitations to most everyone although I'm lacking an email address for Liz and for Abbie and Cameron. Please let me know who is missing from the list and I will add them.
Liz and Joe: I just happened to have this great photo of mom and the 4 of us "wiser" siblings . . . as soon as I can locate something more suitable and all inclusive, I'll change it. If one of you has a good photo idea, let's have it.
It's easy to upload photos to the blog using services like Hello and Flickr. Ask me if you want more info. If you have fun links you want to see on our blog, let me know. I'm still trying to change the look of the page so send me anything you think should be here.
Let's hear from everyone!
