Yeah!
Great to see some activity here. First from Chelsea and then I see that Grandma made it onto the site.
I love the photos Chelsea. I only regret there aren't more family shots. We should have had a "cousins" photo and it would have been nice to have a photo with me and my sibs. Too hard to think of everything at the time though. I notice the one family photo that is there, I'm not even in it!! I wonder where the heck I was. LOL!!
BTW, I DO know that Liz's photo is missing . . . I just haven't figured out yet how to add it to the banner. It won't let me have more than 500 html characters. So I'm working on it, never fear!

From the Newlyweds!
Hey All!
Trenton and I wanted to thank everyone for coming and being a part of our special day! You really help make my dreams come true! What a beautiful site it was to walk out of the temple and see all of you standing there. It was awesome to share our first few moments of being Husband and wife with all of you. We hope that all of you had fun at the reception and that some wonderful memories had been created!
We went to Cabo on out honeymoon, and had a Blast! We go to enjoy the sun, relax, and play. Not to mention all the Mexican food we got to eat! Trenton and I were in Heaven! (our stomachs are still recovering!hehe) We went para sailing, took and ATV tour, and rode the wave runners. It was awesome! Now im dealing with Trenton wanting his own ATV and wave runner! Ahhh!
We are back at work with dad. Trenton slaving away outside in the heat, while im inside answering phones, making customers happy, and making sure the men get all their paperwork done! My mom says they are lucky to have me.... i'm finally beginning to think she is right!
Trenton just started a summer school course "Intimacy, relationships and families" It is great for his Major in Family and Marriage Therapy. I am starting to choose my classes for CSUN next semester. I finally decided that Special Ed is where i should be so im mentally preparing myself for all the extra classes i need to take as well as all the extra paperwork!
Married life if great! We are finding out new things about each other every day, and learning what its like to live and sleep with someone else. We are excited for all the challenges that lie ahead!

Blogging anyone?
Lately I've been seeing more and more friends start blogs which made me think about the blogs I set up for the Onken family and for the Petriscak/MacDougall family a few years ago. I wonder if maybe we should try it again? I know a few people had a hard time logging in. I'm going to post this and then send out an email to see if there is any interest in doing this.
It was so great to see everyone at the wedding, I only wish there had been time to actually visit together. Since the wedding, Martin and I have been very busy with weddings. Skyler's two childhood best friends, David Arnell and Nick Olsen, have both gotten married in the last few weeks, and this coming Saturday, Kristi Pak - a young woman that has been a family favorite since she attended high school with Nick and Natalie - will be getting married. She is the pastry chef that created those amazing cupcakes for Chelsea's wedding!
What have the rest of you been up to? How was Cameron's graduation? Are there photos?
I'm not so good at uploading photos but I will try and share a few here and I hope that you will all share photos as well. I'd love to see photos of Juan as well as Ryan and Ian.

December
December is here? How did that happen? I know Cameron has a birthday around the corner. Forget Christmas. Who has time? Got a package from the Joneses. This year I haven't even finished my annual sewing projects. Everyone may be getting Jamba Juice certificates. Can I buy those on line? No letter, no picture, no tree, nada. Between finals, the work on the house, getting Skyler ready and getting ourselves ready for Venezuela, can we consider rescheduling the holiday for maybe July? :)
I'll be glad when we get our new windows. It's cold outside.
Anyone else out there?

I'm Green with Shades of Blue, what are you?
A friend of mine is a high school teacher in Wyoming. With every new class she has her kids determine what their learning style is and what they contribute to team work. I'm pretty amazed by how accurately this described me. It only takes a few minutes. What color are you? (According to Judy, you are usually one color predominately, but often have another "accent" color.)

Halloween
Nick, awesome (ha ha) news about your moons. Can we see them?
Ellie, I hate to upstage you but on Saturday, while Martin and I were with my friend Lynda and her brother at Disneyland, Paul McCartney waved and winked at me. Yep, I am not kidding. I had witnesses. Well, he waved and winked at Lynda, too. But still, it was in fact a personal wave and wink and we were not 10 feet away from him as he waited for his wife Heather to pick up their little girl out of the stroller. Lynda and I were standing there with our mouths open and in a state of shock at just seeing him. I'm sure that our charming costumes had something to do with why he took notice. We were both wearing red Minnie Mouse hats, each with a yellow flower growing out of the top. . . .
(It was Disneyland for Pete's sake. You're expected to dress like that there. LOL!)

No luck
I've sent out several invitations to join but not a single response. I've tried to explain it but I'm getting nowhere. I think this idea will bomb. Maybe someone can make a telephone call or two?

I'm here!!
Thanks Debi for organizing & creating this blog. I hope everyone will join & contribute regularly. It will take a little effort to get in the habit, but it will be really fun.
Today I go with Skyler to the Newport Beach temple for its open house. There will be tons of people there, and there are no more tickets available. Undoubtedly there will be some anti-Mormon people there, so it will be interesting to see what they will be saying or doing.
Two movie stars rented a motor hoem from us yesterday.... Richard Roundtree (the original "Shaft"), and John Ratzenberger (Cliff, the know-it-all mailman, from Cheers). Both very nice men.
Love you all,
Martin

It was Martin's Idea
Welcome! Martin thought everyone might enjoy using an extended family blog. We Onkens have one just for us and it can be a fun way to keep in touch. I've sent invitations to most everyone although I'm lacking an email address for Liz and for Abbie and Cameron. Please let me know who is missing from the list and I will add them.
Liz and Joe: I just happened to have this great photo of mom and the 4 of us "wiser" siblings . . . as soon as I can locate something more suitable and all inclusive, I'll change it. If one of you has a good photo idea, let's have it.
It's easy to upload photos to the blog using services like Hello and Flickr. Ask me if you want more info. If you have fun links you want to see on our blog, let me know. I'm still trying to change the look of the page so send me anything you think should be here.
Let's hear from everyone!
